50 YEARS OF 3 on 3!

The Gus Macker 3on3 Basketball Tournament will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024.  The original tournament started in the McNeal family driveway in 1974, in Lowell, Michigan.  18 neighborhood high school youth each put a $1 in the hat, with the winning team taking home the money.

The event currently travels around the country partnering with local community groups to host this 3on3 basketball tournament.   The Gus Macker is a halfcourt pickup game which attracts all ages and talent levels.   In 2024, the Macker hoop festival will visit around 30 cities across the country.
